A Message from Joe
With autumn at our doorsteps, it’s the perfect time to cozy up and reflect on the past month here at Big Beat Music. Many of our students began another school year last month, and we would like to wish those students good luck and success on their academic journey! Whether you’re returning to the classroom, or your workplace, we hope music will continue to serve as a stress-relieving creative outlet that you can take with you wherever you go.
Speaking of school, a couple of Big Beat students from a local marching band got to show off their talents during their school football game, and their skills were unmatched! Some of the parents and teachers thanked our instructor, Rob, for his thoughtful, impactful teaching, and all the time he’s spent sharing his skills with his students. Way to go Maisie, Victoran, Adam, Christopher, and Rob!
Below, you will see that many of our students made major strides in our Rockstar Achievement program this month. As you can see from yellow wristbands, green wristbands, and Big Beat tee shirt, our students have been sharpening their skills and developing a stronger understanding of their instrument. We’d like to give them a round of applause on all of their hard work!

Our Rock Star Achievement Program Continues to Inspire!
Rock Star Achievement Program
This proven system gets students excited about music and helps keep parents ‘informed’ as to how they are progressing. Similar to karate belt tests, every few months or so teachers will evaluate their students. As they progress they will receive one of these really cool wristbands for their level. They will also get trophies and other awards at certain levels as part of the “Merit System” we have already had in place. This type of program has been proven to inspire students, bring a smile to parents’ faces and we all feel proud of the progress being made!

Meet the Stick Around for the Snare Devils
They are the FUN Percussion Ensemble Group that everyone is talking about and headed by Big Beat Music teacher, Rob Crowther! Coming soon to a stage near you!
What is it?
The percussion ensemble is a class geared to learn different rhythmic styles in a group setting. They will be using drum sets along with several other percussion instruments.
Who should join?
Whether you are already taking drum lessons and find enjoyment in a group setting or are playing another instrument and want to learn about the rhythmic styles to enhance your current instrument, this class can be for YOU whether you are a current student or not!
